How to build self-trust
A question that comes my way often is, "How do I practically build self-trust?" Let's break down what self-trust truly means and how we can actively foster it in our lives. 3 critical components of self-trust:
Honoring and respecting our thoughts and feelings, without second-guessing the validity of our feelings.
Being willing to step outside our comfort zone even though the outcome is outside of our control.
Relying on our own intuition and judgment to make decisions, rather than outsourcing our wisdom to other people.
To cultivate self-trust and reduce the grip of self-doubt, try incorporating one or more of these practices into your life:
Decisiveness and Commitment: Strengthen your self-trust by making decisions and standing by them. Trust in the validity of your choices and reassure yourself that you have the resilience to navigate any outcome.
Courageous Pursuit of Goals: Fearlessly pursue your dreams and aspirations. Trust in your ability to tackle challenges head-on, knowing that setbacks are opportunities for growth.
Validation of Thoughts and Feelings: Embrace your inner voice and emotions without hesitation. Recognize that they hold value and deserve acknowledgment and respect.
By embracing these practices, you'll gradually strengthen your self-trust muscle and inevitably your confidence as well.
